Why are guys so mean in middle school?

plain and simple.. guys are immature. and they are immature for a LONG time. middle school/high school is the peak of their immaturity as well, so you've got a ways to go.. another reason is because they're probably insecure as well, so they need to talk about other people. It's not creepy to laugh the way you do. As you get older, you'll find more men (not boys!) who love when girls laugh all the time. it makes them feel like they're really funny and you like being around them. And since those boys KNOW you like one of them now, they're gonna wanna call you out on it and probably want to embarrass you over the whole thing... Hope this helps!
